I'm your everyday, average guy who likes to keep things simple and as Zen as possible.  My philosophies are uncomplicated, and my outlook on life is unelaborate.  I value responsibility and genuineness.  I have a strong sense of justness, fairplay, and integrity which is why Bushido appeals to me strongly.  My wife turned me on to samurai flicks years ago, and I've been hooked on them ever since.  I love being in Nature and crave it since I've moved to the city.  Being in it is like meditation for me.  I definitely love to laugh and find almost anything humorous as long as no one is hurt or put down.

There's a story about Miyamoto Musashi, the greatest swordsman who has ever lived, that I really relate to.  It seems that early in his training, Musashi roamed the countryside challenging and killing the masters of many dojo.  One day, he saw a sign above a shop that read “Soul Sharpener” which made him curious enough to walk in and request the sharpener's services.  The old man eyed Musashi's blade then said that his sword had seen so much blood, sharpening it was going to be difficult.  Musashi didn't understand and demanded an explanation.  “Mastery is not measured by how many times a samurai has drawn his sword but by how many times he has not.”

This realization forever changed Musashi.  It also changed me.
